Position Overview


We are looking for an Associate Content Validator to join our Content & Editorial team in Barcelona. This team plays a key role in the ingestion of new content into the vLex platform and in ensuring that all existing content remains accurate and up to date.

The successful candidate will support Team Leaders in validating legal and academic content, processing updates, and ensuring high editorial quality. This role involves using internal tools and systems, and full training will be provided.


Key Responsibilities


  • Create technical specification documents for developers to guide new content integration
  • Validate content delivered by the development team
  • Upload and integrate validated content into the platform
  • Review quality control checks performed by other business units on published materials
  • Send daily newsletters to clients
  • Perform quality control on books and journals prior to publication
  • Review MARC records generated before final release


Qualifications & Experience


Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Digital Content Management, or in Library and Information Science
  • High level of English & Spanish proficiency (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of RDA (Resource Description and Access) cataloguing standard
  • Familiarity with the MARC21 bibliographic record format for automated cataloguing


Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Digital Content Management
  • Additional language skills

  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving approach
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively


Preferred:

  • Interest in legal or academic publishing
  • Comfort working in digital environments or with CMS platforms
