About the Role
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Product Designer to join our growing team, focusing on the core user experiences within Vincent Core, the tailored solutions for Vincent Enterprise, and the specialized workflows of Vincent Studio. Reporting to a Senior Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in crafting user-centered designs that solve complex problems, enhance user productivity, and contribute directly to the success of our AI-powered legal platform. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer eager to dive deep into challenging product areas and grow their skills within a supportive environment.
As part of our new design team, you’ll work on impactful projects and help build the foundations of our design practice at vLex. You’ll contribute to improving collaboration and processes, and play an active role in creating our Design System from scratch, applying systems thinking to define patterns, design scalable, consistent components, and shape our design language as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
- User Understanding: Conduct foundational user research activities (e.g., interviews, usability testing) in collaboration with Product Managers and your Senior Design Manager to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points across Vincent Core, Enterprise, and Studio products.
- Problem Solving & Ideation: Translate user insights and business requirements into intuitive and effective design solutions. Participate in brainstorming sessions and design critiques.
- UX Design & Prototyping: Develop detailed user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and test usability.
- UI Design & Visual Execution: Create high-fidelity visual designs, ensuring consistency with vLex's design system and brand guidelines. Contribute to the evolution of our design system by applying existing components and identifying needs for new ones.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers to understand feature requirements and priorities. Collaborate with Engineers to ensure technical feasibility of designs and support implementation, addressing design feedback during development.
- Iteration & Feedback: Actively participate in design reviews, incorporating feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine designs.
- Documentation: Create clear and concise design specifications and documentation for engineering handoff.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 4 years of professional experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a related field, preferably in SaaS, B2B, or complex software environments.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong experience using modern design and prototyping tools (we use Figma), with a focus on applying them thoughtfully to follow a user-centered process from start to finish.
- Ability to create clear user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating your UX problem-solving abilities and UI design skills for digital products.
